My formal training in architecture allowed me to develop a unique perspective on how to arrange a screen for a viewer. Exploring the ways in which architectural and cinematic languages overlap is often a subconscious objective in the projects I pursue.

My Egyptian background—Arab, African, Muslim—shapes my writing and the stories I'm drawn to tell. I often delve into how cultures intersect, how history folds into the present, and how shared human experiences can serve as a universal language connecting people from all walks of life. These are themes I can most effectively explore as I process them through my own personal experiences in real time.
